GREATER COLUMBUS SPORTS COMMISSION STAFF 100 PERCENT CERTIFIED

KASTENHOLZ FINAL STAFF MEMBER TO EARN CSEE CERTIFICATION Greater Columbus Sports Commission project manager Kate Kastenholz recently completed certification to become a Certified Sports Event Executive (CSEE), making the Greater Columbus Sports Commission one of the few organizations in the country to have each of its staff members certified. The Certified Sports Event Executive program, open only to members of the National Association of Sports Commissions, is a continuing education-style program where participants are provided with cutting edge knowledge from topics relevant to the sports event industry. Modules cover a variety of topics that increase participants’ efficiency and effectiveness in the workplace. “We are very proud to have our entire staff to have completed the CSEE certification program,” said GCSC executive director Linda Logan. “We are dedicated to providing excellent service to all of our groups, and this program allows our staff members to learn implement a variety of ‘best of’ practices.” Logan, director of corporate partnerships Brian Timm, senior events manager Gwen Verhoff and sales manager Jeffrey John are also graduates of the CSEE program. The Greater Columbus Sports Commission was founded in June 2002 to attract professional, amateur, collegiate and youth sporting events to Columbus.
