OHIO STATE TO HOST SPORTS IMPORTS VOLLEYBALL CLASSIC
September 05, 2007

Championship Volleyball Comes to Ohio

Pac Ten vs. Big Ten Rarely Meet in Regular Play

The third annual Sports Imports Volleyball Classic will host four of the nation’s top-ranked Women’s Division I College Volleyball teams in competitive play on September 14 and 15, 2007.

Sports Imports is proud to host teams from University of Southern California (USC), University of Oregon, Purdue and the Ohio State University.

This clash will pit the Big 10 against the Pac 10 and highlight some of the best competition volleyball in the nation. Each of these teams post consistently strong records year after year with all teams competing at the NCAA Tournament in 2006.

“We are thrilled to sponsor this competition and to see these great names here in Ohio,” said Brad Underwood, president of Sports Imports. “As the industry leader in competition net systems, we always want to encourage and showcase the highest level of competitive play. By providing a venue for this field of talent, we hope to expand awareness for championship volleyball in this region of the country,”

The Sports Imports Volleyball Classic will take place on September 14 and 15 at St. John Arena on The Ohio State University campus in Columbus, Ohio. Games begin at 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. each evening.

Tickets will be available at the door. Free tickets for high school, college and club volleyball coaches are available via pre-registration. For more information or to register for free tickets, contact Sports Imports at 800-556-3198.
