BRIAN J. TIMM JOINS GREATER COLUMBUS SPORTS COMMISSION

The Greater Columbus Sports Commission has named Brian J. Timm as its new Director of Corporate Sponsorships, Executive Director Linda Shetina Logan announced today. Timm will be responsible for executing all aspects of the Sports Commission’s relationships and programs, including developing and maintaining an expanded partnership database; coordinating all sponsorship fulfillment; and facilitating all communication between partners, sponsors, members, prospects, staff and Board of Directors. “Brian has a long and successful track record working in advertising and sports marketing in the Columbus market, and we are thrilled to have him join our team,” Logan said. “As our organization continues to grow, it is vital that we continue to generate and maintain new strategic relationships with the Columbus business community, and Brian is uniquely qualified to direct those efforts.” Timm joins the Greater Columbus Sports Commission from JFS Properties, Inc., where since 2003 he was the Director of Sales/Executive Producer of the Ohio State Coaches Shows, the weekly television shows that feature Ohio State football coach Jim Tressel, men’s basketball coach Thad Matta and women’s basketball coach Jim Foster. He previously worked at RadioOhio, Inc., where he was a Sales Manager and Account Manager for the Ohio State Buckeyes Radio Network from 1997-2003. Timm also spent six years working for the Pittsburgh Pirates Baseball Club. Timm earned a B.S. in Physical Education from Wittenberg University and Masters in Sports Administration from Ohio University. The Greater Columbus Sports Commission was founded in June 2002 to attract professional, amateur, collegiate and youth sporting events to Columbus.
